Social networking goes 3D

By Mr. Barlow

Online social networking is huge. MySpace is massive, Facebook is not far behind and don’t forget Twitter, Flickr or the rest. People love being able to share their photos and thoughts with their friends online.

But wouldn’t it be cool if instead of just creating a website with some photos and interests you could create an online 3 dimensional room. You could decorate it how you want, put photos on the walls, watch a virtual television that plays YouTube or invite friends over to your room. Instead of chatting by sending each other messages you could speak “in person” via 3D avatars.

Vivaty thought it would be cool too. So they invented it. It is still in beta but Check it out.
