Year 9
Hi Year 9.
Welcome to a great year!
In terms of learning about Science, the first thing you should probably do is download an episode of the Year 9 Science Podcast. You can download individual episodes here:
Episode 1 – The Scientific Method
Episode 2 – The Nervous and Endocrine Systems
Episode 3 – Atoms, Elements, Isotopes and Ions
Episode 6 – Learning about Life
Or even better click here to subscribe in iTunes.
You may also like to start your learning about the ‘reACTION‘ chemistry unit or the ‘Life Long Learning‘ biology unit or even the forensics unit that we will be studying during the year.
Of course you’re probably also looking forward to the Big Experience, so go here to see what all the fuss is about. For general CUE information head over here and click the album art below to listen to ‘CUE radio‘, the year 9 podcast.

Just you wait Mr. Barlow, your hits are about to jackpot!

MR Barlow you will not believe it!!!
I told leo about your website and he went on about it for about a minute, about how great it was that teachers are now blogging, and that every one who watches the show has to go to your blog!!!
He told the address like 4 times, then he spelt it out.
Unfortunately the show dose not air until January so unless leo tells lots of friends you wont have 10,000 hits by end of term but leo said as soon as the show airs you will be getting 10,000 hits a day easy!!
Now may be the time to implement google ad words.
Any way i think i deserve something for that, remember those reports are not finalized yet (nudge nudge)
See you on Monday!!!

Just saw the show, in Canada, on Sunday morning (7-8 am), February 24, 2008. Tom did an excellent job – was composed and well informed about his topic. Nice to see the global “reach” achieved through the internet. Cheers
