Maglev trains are fast

Magnetic levitation, often shortened to Maglev is a system that uses magnetic fields to move vehicles, and to keep them in the air. Most of the times, this is used for trains, to transport passengers, or mail. The magnetic fields lift the train a small distance above the tracks and move it. Maglev trains do not touch the ground. Because there is no friction, they can be made to run faster than regular trains. See:
