A new form of wildlife photography

A group of monkeys have pioneered a new form of wildlife photography: taking self-portraits.  Photographer David Slater, was visiting a national park on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia, when his camera was taken over by a group of crested black macaques (Macaca nigra).

They were quite mischievous, jumping all over the camera equipment. One hit the button. The sound got his attention and he kept pressing it. At first it scared the rest of them away but they soon came back. This is one example of the results:
