Victorian volcanoes are due to erupt

I live in South East Australia, in a state called Victoria.

Apparently I live near a long-dormant volcanic province that is overdue for an eruption, even worse, scientists say my nation is completely unprepared for such an event.

Using the latest dating techniques, scientists established that, on average, the small volcanoes dotted from western Victoria to South Australia have erupted about every 2000 years.

The last eruption at Mount Gambier was more than 5000 years ago and therefore, statistically speaking, we are due for another.

Yikes!!! Learn more here or here.
