Biggest Crocodile Ever Caught

A crocodile is any species belonging to the family Crocodylidae (sometimes classified instead as the subfamily Crocodylinae).

Caught alive after a three-week hunt, an allegedly 6.4-meter-long (21-foot-long) saltwater crocodile is possibly the biggest crocodile ever caught.

The 1,075-kilogram (2,369-pound) crocodile is suspected of attacking several people and killing two. The animal, named Lolong, survived capture and is being held in a temporary enclosure in the village of Consuelo in the Philippines. Learn more here.
