Theory of plate tectonics called into uncertainty

Plate tectonics is a well accepted scientific theory.

Tectonic Plate is a large segment of Earth’s crust that moves in relation to other similar plates. Plate size can vary greatly, from a few hundred to thousands of kilometers across.

The movement of the plates over millions of years has changed the appearance of the Earth’s surface from one super continent, Pangaea, to the continents we know today.

Natural earthquakes are caused by the Earth’s tectonic plates rubbing against each other. This makes the ground above them shake. Earthquakes are more common in places where two tectonic plates meet.
