Feel the rhythm baby

Scientists have just discovered that babies are born with a sense of rhythm!

The researchers played a rock drum rhythm to 14 sleeping babies two or three days old. Sometimes the sequence skipped a sound without disrupting the rhythm, while other omissions made the rhythm stumble.

When a missed note broke the rhythm, the babies had a key brain response indicating that their sensory expectations were contradicted. This suggests newborns can sense a rhythm and know when to expect the next beat. Read more here (with video) or here and ROCK ON!

Very interesting. It kind of had to be in order for me to write a comment here, but still…very interesting. I think that it is good to know that our brains are smart enough to notice these things even at such an early age. Cool iPod, but the pink is kind of girly.

    hey mr B,
I found that acrtical about how babies are born with rthym to be very interesting. Do you anything more about it? For emaple if the great composers had anything to do with music when they were new borns?

It is believed that antioxidants work primarily by
helping to slow down or prevent the oxidative process caused by free radicals.
Some sneaky companies use this to their advantage and
will spike yeast with synthetics, in their “fermentation or culturing process” then sprinkle foods in too.
Vitamin K2 is yet to receive a specific RDA, but deficiency is unlikely with regular intake of quality animal products.
